We visited the Rotary Club of Coopersville on Tuesday, July 18. The club was formed by leadership from the Grand Haven Rotary Club and the Grandville Rotary Club in mid-1946. The charter date was March 10, 1947. The club celebrated it’s 75th anniversary this past March.
The club is led by President Robert Carr. We had wonderful time hearing about their activities including the Car Show on August 11 and 12. They are also looking forward to inducting 2 new members soon.
On Thursday, July 20 we visited the Rotary Club of Muskegon. What a growing club. They have more members, 241 at last count, than any other club in our district. And I was honored to induct their newest member, Jerry Kuester. This club is growing!
President Ginny Sprague has everyone working in the same direction. They have several fund raisers including a new one, Harvest Fest.
They support many youth programs including the Life Leadership Conference, Youth Exchange, Interact and an Interact trip to El Salvador.
Great things are happening in Muskegon!
