On the 25th we visited the Petoskey Sunrise club. They are quite an energetic bunch at 7:30am. President Brian Wagner and club members told us about all the fund raisers and projects they have been a part of. Some of their fund raisers include; the Better Burger Challenge, Bowlapalooza and Pedal for Polio. In addition they have launched a new satellite club in Alanson. The club also had an honored visitor that day, PDG Jane Millar stopped by for the meeting. It was a great meeting and wonderful to see PDG Jane Millar that morning.
On Wednesday the 26th we visited the new Inland Waterways Rotary Club. The club is a satellite club of the Petoskey Sunrise Rotary Club and Wednesday was their first official meeting. There is a strong commitment in the club to support the Alanson area by way of fund raisers and service activities.
Assistant Governor Randy Evans started knocking on doors in Alanson in February. And 6 months later a new club is born with 16 members! Pat Ryde from the Sunrise club will serve as Chairperson until the club becomes independent and elects a president.
