Well the year 2018 -19 has begun for Rotary. I have started my visits to the clubs and as of July 30th I have visited eight clubs.

As district governor I have been asked to the inspiration, to the contrary, it is the clubs that I have visited that have been an inspiration to me. The community and international projects that are being conducted by the club visited are nothing but amazing. I cannot over emphasize the importance of the projects undertaken by smaller clubs as a reflection of the 1.2 million Rotarian’s thought the world. RI president Barry Rassin has said that “we are a membership organization first, if we want to succeed in our goals we have to take care of our members first”. My objective in my year as district governor is to bring the achievements of each club to all the other clubs in the district.

The month of August is membership month and I encourage each and every one of you to look within yourself and ask “does my club reflect my community”. Are your members, members of a Rotary club or are they “Rotarian’s” Are they the inspiration
